We have 3 babies waiting in San Diego!

It's official! Our contracts are all signed around and we are the proud parents of three babies in San Diego.

We have been working with the Snowflakes Embryo Adoption program in Southern California to expand our family through the joy of adoption. After 4 years of trying to conceive in our early marriage, we thought adoption was our best option. Friends told us about embryo adoption, and we thought it was a great option for having a family. Not only was it a potentially little lest expensive that other forms of adoption, but I could carry the baby/babies in my own womb...so cool! After God blessed us with Isaac and Abigail (not through adoption...but the old fashioned way), we still felt like part of our family was missing...so here we are again.

A family from San Diego has picked us (and us them). They have 3 embryos frozen, three days after conception (only 4 0r 5 cells big), for about 6 years. The fertility doctor gave us only a 15% chance that even one of the babies would be born. That is a sad and scary number, but God is not a God of chance. He has already planned how many of the babies will survive. He has had their days numbered before any of them came to be. We know that He has defeated armies of hundreds of thousands with mere hundreds because He has the power. He holds the stars in the sky and is the creator of all things...NOTHING is too big for Him!!! A little 85% is not anything He can't handle. If He has a plan to continue life for all three babies, He will do it. We are praying so hard that all the babies would survive the thaw, implant in my womb, grow to term, and be born healthy, Lord willing.

Please join us in praying!!! It looks like the babies may be put in on March 13th. :-)

If you have anyone you want to pass this blog entry to (because you want to have them pray or think they may be interested in the Snowflakes Embryo Adoption program), please pass it on.

So exciting Korens! Good thing you have a mini-van :) But seriously, this is amazing news, and I will be praying hard and awaiting many updates. So true, God cares nothing about percentages. May be a silly question, but do you go to San Diego to have them implanted?

That's so exciting!! I hope this month goes SO FAST! And Amber, I hope you enjoy these last few weeks NOT BEING PREGNANT- eat sushi, have a glass of wine, go running, wear your "skinny jeans," get lots of sleep...

Oh, and on a side note- I'm not a fan of the smaller pics on the blog. I have to squint (with my glasses on) to see all your beautiful faces. Anyway to go back to the "medium" pics?
