Love Seeing You While You Sleep

Our Darling Abigail,

We put Christmas lights on your toddler bed. You love falling asleep to the soft glow. Our favorite part is coming in at night to unplug them. Before we pull the plug, we just stand there and watch you sleep. We are in awe of the precious daughter God has blessed us with. You make us laugh. You are so happy, snuggly, and charming. Your silliness is just what our family dynamic needs. We would not be the same without you. We love that you love to be held. We also appecaite that you play very well by yourself. We love that you adore your brother but are starting to stand on your own also. We are impressed by your ear for music. It is pretty astounding how you remember songs after hearing them once and compose your own lyrics to tunes you have heard (and just make up your own tunes). You are our little song bird. It has been warming our hearts when you get excited about anything from the weather, a friend coming over, or a healed booboo, and call out, "Yeah, thank You God!" It is darling because you are so excited and genuine. Three years ago when you were just a gaint baby in Mommy's belly, we didn't have a clue who you were. We loved you already, but had no idea how much we would really like you. We REALLY like you little girl. You are a precious gift from God. We are blessed to have you. As we stare at you in the glow of the Christmas lights in the dark night as you sleep, we smile, take a deep breath, look at one another and say, "Thank you Jesus for our wonderful daughter!" Daddy and Mommy love you more than you'll ever know!!!
