Christmas Day 08

I have been craving mild sauce from Taco Bell...Thanks so much Chris!!!

What fun it was to have two kiddos at Christmas this year! Isaac did the advent calendar this year and really grasped that we were getting ready to celebrate Jesus' birthday. He was so happy to help Jesus blow out his candle. It was interesting trying to explain that Jesus was there with us as we celebrated, but we couldn't see Him and He wouldn't be eating any of His cupcake. :) As a family, we also liked doing the advent wreath each week as we read the story of Jesus' birth and sang songs (Isaac liked the candles the best).

Christmas morning, we made allergy-free blueberry pancakes that we could all enjoy together. After that, the kids opened gifts from Grandma Neicy and Grandpa Craig. On Christmas day, we braved the snow and ice to venture with our friends (Andy, Yvette and their 5-year-old son Kian) to Grandma and Papa's house. Praise God we made it safely. We were sad that the Springers (who were in 3 feet of snow at their house) weren't able to be with us. Isaac was so excited to get another German police car from Hanna and a big rig full of cars from Papa. Abigail loved both of her dolls from her grandmas and even kissed them while they were still packaged in their boxes.
