Alpenrose brought back Christmas. They have a very charming little village that was even cuter when decorated with lights and trees. The kids (though they know Santa is pretend) thought making lists for Santa and talking with him was so much fun. Abigail asked for Pascal from Rapunzel and Isaac asked for a G-scale electric train. I told them not to get their hopes up because Santa is just a man dressed up...they are still hoping. :)
They had the cutest area where it told a story with the animals mentioned in their little houses
Our little ones could even venture in a few
The little general store was decorated for Christmas too
There was a hint of the days gone by
It was magical
We bundled up and took our yearly trip to Zoo Lights. We didn't take many pictures, but splurged and took a ride on the train. Daddy made soy vanilla steamers for the kids and brought it in a big thermos. It was a special treat and really helped the kids warm up on a super cold night. They had a special raffle for anyone who found 5 lighted gnomes around the zoo. We looked and looked, but only found three. Oh well...maybe next year.
