Daddy and Mommy Dates
We had gift certificates to use up so we decided to take the kids on special dates with each of us. First, Daddy took Isaac to Red Robin while Mommy stayed home with Abigail to have a "princess lunch" followed my books and painting nails. Daddy came home and made the switch of kids. Abigail redressed for her date with Daddy (with special flower hair) and asked him to wear a purple shirt and tie to go to Cold Stone for ice cream. Mommy changed into clothes for a bike ride down to Menchies for frozen yogurt. It was so special, for all of us, to have that time with each child. Conversations were special and we all felt closer when we got back from our dates. We will be purposeful to to this again.

I love it!
Cliff has been so good at this lately... He wakes the kids up at 6am to take them individually to Starbucks before everyone else wakes up.
And now whenever we pass the Starbucks by our house, Cambria says, "There's me and Dada's special place!" She has no idea he does it for everyone else too :)
